Havering Health & Sports Development

The Havering Health & Sports Development Team lead on the Havering Activie initiative, populating both the Havering Active webpages, and facebook/twitter accounts. Our aim is to enable the community to participate in sport and physical activity and take steps towards leading a healthy lifestyle.

Time 107.5 FM

Time 107.5 is an independent local radio station based in Romford which broadcasts to the London Borough of Havering as well as the East London and Essex region. 

The Sport Show airs every Thursday at 7pm where Tom and Haydn look at both local and national sport.

Havering Association for People with Disabilities

Havering Association for People with Disabilities (H.A.D) provide a broad range of services and activities for People with Physical Disabilities and Carers in the London Borough of Havering with the object of improving their quality of life, promote independence and meet their physical, emotional and recreational needs.

Public Health

Public health is about helping people to stay healthy and protect them from threats to their health.​​​​ The Council's Public Health service looks at the health status of everyone in the borough and helps plan the service provision that will be needed:

  • To keep as many people healthy and active as possible, preferably out of hospital
  • Ensure they live long and healthy lives. ​​​​​​


StreetGames UK

Through sport the StreetGames Network changes lives, changes sport and changes communities. The StreetGames charity was set up by half a dozen organizers of neighbourhood sports projects. In 2005 they came together to make sport more widely available for disadvantaged young people and to maximize the power of sport to change young lives and to change disadvantaged communities. StreetGames promotes Doorstep Sport – that is sport in disadvantaged communities that takes place at the right time, at the right place, in the right style and at the right price.

Havering Sports Collective 

The Havering Sports Collective aims to keep all schools in the London Borough of Havering joined together through PE and Sport. We create opportunities for developing relationships between primary and secondary schools through sports competition and leadership as well as providing CPD, Health and Safety advice and the most up to date information on how PE and School Sport can impact on learning and achievement.

ROYALS Youth Centre

A community based Youth Centre in the heart of Rainham Essex, creating a safe, nurturing environment for all young people and their families. Working with community partners, we provide support and activities for young people aged 8 - 19 and the wider community.

Myplace Centre

Myplace is a youth and community centre in Harold Hill​. They serve the community by providing a welcoming space for residents to visit for educational, health, cultural and social activities. Our partners in the building provide counselling, health, information, advice and guidance for young people and the community.

The London Borough of Havering's Youth Service is based in the building. The Youth Service delivers a packed programme of activities for young people to enjoy, including youth clubs, sports, Duke of Edinburgh awards, youth action, music and arts projects.
