Walks Oct17The New Walking for Health booklet is here!

The latest WFH programme runs from April 2018 until March 2019

We walk 6 days a week and have walks to support all types of walkers.  Walks vary in length from 30 - 90 minutes and are graded from easy to hard.  There are also longer walks run outside of Walking For Health for those looking for an extra challenge.  Walking for Health Qualified Walk Leaders are always there to assist and advise on all walks.

Everyone is welcome and the walks are FREE!

Please see our attached programme for times, dates and meeting points. There is no need to book, just come along on the day you want to join us. We recommend that everyone starts with an ‘easy’ walk.  Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before the start time to allow for registration.

 WALKING NETBALL

Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level.

From those who have dropped out of the sport they love due to serious injury, to those who believed they had hung up their netball trainers many years ago, it really is for everyone.

Women thelength of the country have begun playing the game of Walking Netball for the fun, laughter and camaraderie the social session brings, as much as the health benefits on offer. It can give those who feel isolated an outlet, provide an activity for those who don’t deem themselves fit enough to run anymore and offer a stepping stone for those looking for a pathway back into netball.
