2019 Cross Country Success
- Details
This weekend our cross country runners competed in the first event of the London Youth Games season. We had some fantastic results and each competitor should be extremely proud of their achievements.
Abigail Ives won the U-15 female category in a time of 7:25 (2,000m) and the U-15 team took home the silver medal. Stephanie O’Koro came 3rd in the U-13 female category with a time of 7:54 (2,000m) and the U-13 team claimed gold. Those two combined results meant the Havering Girls came in 3rd overall for the entire event just behind Bromley and Wandsworth.
Alex Ford finished 5th in the U-15 male event with a time of 10:28 (3,000m) and the Havering Boys team came in 9th overall.
Thank you to all those friends and family members who came down to support our athletes. We had great weather for the occasion and we left the course feeling positive with the accomplishments of the day. Coming up next will be the Cricket and Boccia finals in which we are hoping to finish strong as well.
