Whether it is swimming or exercising in our sports centres, or walking, playing and exercising in our beautiful green parks and historic towns, staying active is both enjoyable and a basic part of a civilised lifestyle.

Havering is lucky to have so many excellent amateur sports clubs covering everything from gymnastics to bowls, or we can dance at clubs for young and old throughout the borough and at the Queen's Theatre, or - if we prefer - take up a place in one of the borough's very popular allotment sites, where we will get exercise, cheap fresh fruit and vegetables and help to preserve nature and wildlife habitats.

There are many opportunities to stay fit and enjoy life to the full in our historic borough, and I hope that this website will help everyone take full advantage of them.
